Michael Emerson

Michael Emerson is an acclaimed American actor known for his compelling performances in both television and theater. Born on September 7, 1954, in Cedar Rapids, Iowa, Emerson’s breakthrough role came in 2001 when he portrayed serial killer William Hinks in the television series “The Practice,” earning him his first Emmy Award. However, he is perhaps best known for his role as Benjamin Linus in the hit television series “Lost,” a performance that earned him a second Emmy. Emerson also starred in the CBS series “Person of Interest,” playing the enigmatic billionaire Harold Finch. His stage work includes a notable performance in “Gross Indecency: The Three Trials of Oscar Wilde,” for which he received critical acclaim.
